Greenhouse Summer Scrapbook

Hundreds of young people celebrated the summer in Greenhouse style at many sites across London and Wales. From football and basketball to multisports, table tennis and performing arts – a Greenhouse Summer means there’s no time for being bored!

Afterward a rigorous training session, the Greenhouse Ballers relaxed in the Harrow Club’s pool room, where they played snooker and cards to warm down from a hard day’s work.

Almost 300 young people from across London flocked to Burgess Park today to celebrate the end of the Greenhouse Summer activities in true festival style.

Football, basketball, multisports and table tennis players indulged in sack races, Egg and Spoon and traditional Caribbean food.

The day was topped off by spectacular performances from the Greenhouse Performance Troupe and Greenhouse coach and UK poetry Slam Champion Deanna Rodger.

Almost 60 Greenhouse dancers and actors are spending their summer exploring dance styles from the 1920s right through to today. They’ll get to showcase their new moves, performing at the Greenhouse festivals in London AND Wales!

Workshops with industry professionals on combat theatre and stage make-up will help them hone their skills, while west-end theatre trips will help to keep them inspired.
